Who is it for?

Who is the “How to get here?” widget for?

Hotels, campsites, restaurants, venues, museums, heritage sites, bike rentals, festivals, leisure parks: as soon as customers need to reach you, the first thing they look for is “how do I get there”, with your location on a map. And too often, all they find is a postal address, a Google map and nothing else.

The widget displays, right on your contact page, a map with routes by train, coach, bus, tram, metro, boat, cable car, bike and on foot — and even by car — all the way to your door. Your visitors arrive relaxed, you get fewer “where do we park?” calls, and your area gets a few cars fewer on its roads.

    What it changes

    Three reasons to install it

      Your visitors arrive stress-free

Timetables, connections, cycling distances: everything is calculated in real time from your area’s transport data.

      Nothing to maintain

We keep the mobility data up to date; you keep the same embed code. No manual updates, no outdated timetables on your site.

Free, and respectful of your data

No advertising trackers, no resale of browsing data. Your email address is used only to let you know about changes to the service.

How to create your map and directions widget

In just a few minutes, add to your website a map powered by the Loopi route planner, already used by many destinations. All you need to enter is:

      1. The name of your organization.
      2. The type of organization (accommodation, restaurant, bike rental, event, etc.).
      3. An email address, used only to inform you about changes to the service.
      4. Your postal address, or simply your location on the map.

Once you have entered this information, copy and paste the generated code into a page on your site, through your CMS for example.

The service is completely free and respects your data.

        Frequently asked questions

Is the “How to get here?” widget really free?

Yes, with no time or traffic limits. The service is provided by Loopi, the tourism mobility solution deployed in many French destinations.

How do we show directions to our venue on our website?

The simplest way is to display directions that go beyond a postal address. With the “How to get here?” widget, in two minutes you embed an interactive map and routes by train, coach, bus, tram, metro, boat, cable car, bike and on foot — and even by car — all the way to your door. Generate the code above, paste it on your contact or directions page, and timetables stay up to date without you lifting a finger.

What kind of website can I install it on?

Any site that accepts HTML: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Joomla, Drupal, Shopify or a custom-built site. Just copy and paste the generated code.

Which modes of transport are offered?

Train, coach, bus, tram, metro, boat, cable car, bike and on foot — and even by car — depending on the transport data available around your address.

        Do I need technical skills?

No. Fill in the form, copy the code, paste it into a page on your site through your CMS. Allow two minutes.

Are the transport timetables up to date?

Yes. Routes are calculated from official transport data, updated continuously.

Some modes of transport and/or timetables are missing — what can I do?

Does the widget work on mobile?

Yes. The display adapts automatically to phone and tablet screens.

Can I use it for a one-off event?

Yes — it’s actually one of the most common uses: festivals
